NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH - NOV '06 - what's going on?

i got togetha with sadie6 and the crew last night for a "write-in" from 7.00 - 9.00 pm in her coolio apt that she shares with her actor/husband. i believe he's also a painter/director too. he's also crazy/beautiful. watch him tues nights on cbc television on haddock's latest series, intelligence. 

soes when sadie6 and i were out during a break hacking a butt, we ran into tracy smith. she's inspired! and she's writing a comedy pilot! hope to party with her at the whistler film festival in about 3 weeks time.

i've only got about 1,600 words all togetha so far but plan on digging in shortly. i'm a lame ass who is addicted to myspace. it's the devil. turns out i'm writing a sci-fi romance but we'll see where it goes. yah, you thot that was a link to blade runner but sorry to disappoint.

NANOMO begins today! Good luck everybody! Don't know what to say? Don't worry! Don't have time to write? Don't worry and just get writing!

Chris Baty emailed me some great tips this morning for Week One. I like subscribing to his e-newsletter. It really inspires......

Last year BF and I went to the local chapter's welcome bowling party (which was fab! very cewl folks!) and I think I went to one (or perhaps 2) of the weekly Wednesday write-ins. All this kinda stuff helps me keep writing and on track to reach this monster ass goal.

In a nutshell Chris says to surge early. You see the goal is 50,000 words in a month. That's a short novella when you think about it.  Baty suggests writing about 2.5 K words a day for the first week. To stay on target, write 1,667 words a day, every day, for the month of November.
